Conversion Time -- Changing the Software Gadgets Backend

You have probably noticed that new posts haven't been all that common this month. It's not because I haven't been finding any interesting software, but because Thingamablog (the software that powers this site) has decided to corrupt its database every few days. This means I have to find a backup that still works and restore any posts I made since the last backup that Thingamablog likes.
I loaded up Thingamablob yesterday only to get the database corrupt error again. I've had enough. While I really like Thingamablob and the idea of generating these pages on my computer and uploading them as static pages, it's time to admit it has become more trouble than it is worth. I'm going to convert this site to Wordpress, Movable Type or some similar popular blog software.
Unfortunately, my real life is very busy in September and this will take me a while to research and set up. How long? My best guess at the moment is two to three weeks -- but it might be longer. I know that will be a long time without new posts, but there are around 140 posts with interesting (and mostly free) software gadgets here now. Thaey should keep everyone busy for a while. As our RSS feed is through Feedburner, the conversion should not affect it, so if you watch the Software Gadgets RSS feed, you know when site conversion is finished and the posting of new software gadgets has resumed.
