Save Web Pages with ScrapBook for FireFox

Posted on Tuesday, February 14, 2006 at 10:18 PM by Randall

There are times I just have to save a web page. Not just the text of a web page, but the formatting, graphics, and everything else I see. I'd like to be able to easily view the saved page in my browser in the future as well. Searching my collection of saved pages would also be useful. The ScrapBook extension for Firefox does all of this and much more. This extension makes it easy to save web pages (or entire web sites) and organize them for future reference. This extension allows you to maintain an archive of web pages on your computer. The major features are summarized at the ScrapBook web site as follows:

Save Web page
Save snippet of Web page
Save Web site (In-depth Capture)
Organize the collection in the same way as Bookmarks tree
Highlighter, Eraser and various page editing tools
Full text search and quick filtering search
Text edit feature resembling Opera's Notes

However, the full description of ScrapBook's features that three pages on the web site. This is one of the few extensions I have installed that I probably could not live without.
